It is time for us to ask students to select their Arts courses for the 2020-21 school year. Doing this now allows for a conversation with parents, faculty and advisors to make the best fit in terms of a student‘s aptitude and interest. As we like to say, these decisions are not written in stone; students will have a chance in September to change their minds (space permitting).
This process is also critically important for us to plan ahead and ensure that there are sufficient numbers of students to offer a particular Art. Students should always indicate their top three choices as there can be rare circumstances when we cannot offer both their first and second art preferences.
Grade 9 Students
Students in Grade 9 are registered in:
Arts 9 Rotation or Wind Ensemble
and will select:
An Arts course OR
**Grade 9 students only make two Art selections, their first and second choices.
Grade 10, 11 & 12 Students
Students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 must enrol in:
One Arts course
A second Arts course OR
Further Arts courses can be taken as desired, but only if space permits. Additional arts courses can only be confirmed after the school year has gotten underway in September.
Before making any selections, it is important that you take time to find out more information about the Arts course offerings. Please refer to the Arts page of the Brentwood website.
Having reviewed the information about Arts course offerings, you are ready to make your selection in Arts portion of the Course Selection Form. Do not hesitate to ask questions for clarification by contacting Edna Widenmaier.
